Shared Health Mississippi, Inc. (“Shared Health MS”) is committed to achieving the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct in its operations and is dedicated to bringing you unbiased, quality content on this site (the “Site”). This Conflict of Interest Statement (this “Statement”) is intended to increase awareness of potential conflicts of interest on this Site and to provide a statement as to the steps taken to prevent such conflicts.

Any business relationships with a third party that could jeopardize the objectiveness of data or content will be stated on the Site. Internal staff must avoid financial or other interests in any entity perceived to have an influence on the integrity of this Site’s content. Content is reviewed and approved at several levels in the publishing process before it will appear on the Site.

Shared Health MS expects its employees to conduct their business according to the highest ethical standards of conduct and to comply with all applicable laws. Employees should always act in the best interest of Shared Health MS and not permit outside interests to interfere with their job duties. Therefore, Shared Health MS prohibits all employees from using their position with Shared Health MS or Shared Health MS's relationship with its clients for private gain.

At least once a year, Shared Health MS’s Compliance Department distributes a conflict of interest questionnaire to all employees and contractors. Persons who receive the questionnaire must answer all questions fully and accurately, certify as to the accuracy of the information given and update that information whenever necessary. Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed at the time of hire or at the time that the financial or other interest develops. Shared Health MS’s Compliance Department will then determine whether a conflict exists and, if so, what actions should be taken to eliminate or avoid the conflict. Shared Health MS provides Shared Health Dual Plus (HMO SNP)SM, a Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan (DSNP) for the state of Mississippi. It is managed by Shared Health, Inc. (“Shared Health”), which provides tools to help health plans across the country build and operate successful Managed Care plans.

Shared Health MS is a subsidiary of BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. Shared Health MS maintains editorial independence and requires a separation between editorial and commercial interests.
